Hunters participating in Legacy MC Runs -NEED- to contact a officer FIRST before attempting to tame a core hound. (taming can add some confusion if we don't know ahead of time. This also lets the officers help make taming easier, and prevent accidental kills during a tame.)

Hunters who do not notify us in advance can watch us skin their beloved pet.

Hunters can now tame corehounds? This topic is of great interest to me; Allendil tires of looking at the same old pets...

Re: Legacy Raid Rule Suggestions
Here is my proposition for rules which should be implemented for Legacy Raids.
1. Have fun. This is just a game. However, there need to be certain rules and limitations in order to make the Legend Raid experience fair and enjoyable for everyone.
2. Ventrilo is mandatory. If you cannot log on, you cannot attend unless approved by the Raid Leader or a Raid Officer.
3. All epics are open rolls with exceptions to class specific items and basic common sense. Class specific items are available to that class only. Melee will not be able to roll on caster gear and vice versa, unless no one rolls.
AQ20 and AQ40 tier gear will only be available to people who have (or are close to getting) the appropriate reputation to get the item. The higher the rep, the higher the priority. Winners will be armoried to verify reputation standing. (This rule is in place because very few people will actually farm the reputation needed, and those who DO should have priority over those who do not, or never will. Otherwise, it's a wasted item.)
4. Legendary drops from Molten Core will have priority to those who have the materials necessary to complete the item. Thunderfury Bindings will have priority to those who have either the opposite Binding, or the ten (10) Elementium Bars. Those with just a binding will have precedence over those who just have the bars. The Elementium Bars, while a genuine commitment in time and expense, are easier to acquire. People who have both an opposite Binding and all ten Bars will be first choice for rolls.
The Eye of Sulfuras from Ragnaros will have priority to those who already have a Sulfuron Hammer crafted.
When the time comes that a Warglaive drops from Illidan, those with the opposite Warglaive will have priority over those who don't. If no one has a Warglaive, then the item will be available for rolls only to Warriors and Rogues.
If or when we get a Thori'dal, The Star's Fury from Kil'Jaeden, it will be available to the only classes who can wield it. Aka, Hunters, Warriors and Rogues. By the time we get that far everyone will have better ranged weapons anyway, so saying it should go to a Hunter first is pointless.
Note: Players should bring their legendary materials to Molten Core on the off chance that one of the legendary items drop. So bring your Bindings, bring your Elementium Bars, and bring your Sulfuron Hammer.
5. Any schematics / patterns / plans / or recipes that drop will be available only to those who are trained in that profession, and are high enough in that profession to learn it. You will be armoried.
6. Any disruptions or controversy caused within the raid will result in a warning from the Raid Leader or a Raid Officer. After two warnings you will be booted unless the offense is serious, in which you'll be removed instantly. We DO have an active ban list that we keep track of. We don't like adding people to it, but we aren't afraid to.

You can get Core Hounds and Devilsaurs, as well as several other new pets like Chimera - go check out Petopia.com for a complete list of what's new.

Comments on Ali's rules

I'd make a small change here to say something to the affect that you must prove your standing by carrying the items with you and showing them to the raid leader. It just seems to me that some people can't connect the dots on their own so spelling this out clearly avoids issues later.
I'd also make note of a few other oddities from our raid experiences - such as the chest in MC, the keys/idols etc in AQ and anything similar in raids I haven't been to, e.g. Hyjal, BT et al.
"Certain loot items such as [the aforementioned] are to be passed on by all raid members or immediately given to a raid officer. Major Domo's chest in MC is bugged and all raid members will pass on loot when it appears on your screen (by hitting the X in the upper right corner) so that the loot master can appropriately dole out prizes by class/rolls. Idols, keys etc in AQ are kept in reserve for those raiders who have a use for them and are handed out by the raid leader, passing on them allows a fair chance to everyone who is working on the gear/rep. All loot items are the province of the master looter and that officer's decisions are final. Anyone violating the loot rules will be subject to immediate removal from the raid. No questions, No QQ, No drama."
RE: the issue of patterns etc. BOP patterns looted in the raid are only given to those who can learn them on the spot - again this makes it more clear in that someone who has 299 engineering or 364 leatherworking cant roll on these unless there isnt anyone else who has the skill that high.
I'd like to see a complete finalized set of Legacy Raid rules posted somewhere for review before we go live with it.
Just my two cents.

Re: Legacy Raid Rule Suggestions
And also, if we know of someone who recently transferred over for any reason we shun them from the raid >.>. And yes, I am being serious. As it is we may not be able to run a successful raid thanks to boxers and recent transfers to Feathermoon as it seems instances are now being affected by the server load.

I definitely agree with this, its a waste to just raid roll a BoP schematic when we have someone who can learn it. Although it needs to be stated "NO HUNTERS" in the case of Thunderfury. Assuming that still stands. As it is, we have some who come who think they are gonna roll on bindings.
